Old Wooler Schoolhouse Project Breaks Ground
Members of the Board and volunteers from the Wooler and Area Community Organization were joined by Quinte West municipal counsellors on 13 June 2026 to break ground on the Old Wooler Schoolhouse project.
The Project received a $1 million grant from the Canadian government’s Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program to help return the schoolhouse to community service as a modernized and accessible recreation facility. Renovations are expected to be completed and doors open for community activities in the spring of 2027.
